Welcome to Steffen Middle School! I’m Mr. Sam Nadolsky, and I am honored to serve as your Principal.
My primary focus as principal is on using student data to drive planning and instruction. The classroom provides countless opportunities for feedback both for teachers and students. This feedback allows us to identify strengths, address challenges, and celebrate achievements, all while striving for academic excellence and personal growth for every student.
While data and instruction are at the heart of our academic mission, I also believe that the success of our school relies on trust and collaboration among students, teachers, and parents. The public school is an interconnected web of trust relationships, student-to-teacher, teacher-to-administrator, teacher-to-parent, to name a few. To support this philosophy, I focus on building strong relationships through transparent communication, collaborative decision-making, and mutual respect among all members of our school community.
Furthermore, middle school is a critical time in a child’s development, full of both challenges and opportunities. As a long-time middle school educator, I focus on setting clear and consistent expectations around respectful behavior and positive peer interactions to ensure that every student feels safe, respected, and empowered to succeed.
By focusing on data-driven instruction, fostering collaborative relationships, and supporting students through their developmental stages, we are setting the stage for a successful and fulfilling middle school experience. I am honored to be part of this journey with your family and look forward to working with each of you this year.
